wav magazine is doing really well and the team has a gut feeling that things are about to get really exciting soon. one of the distributors has sold out and we’re shipping them more stacks, and people have been randomly spotted reading them throughout the LA area. three cheers for wav! issue four will be even bigger, and we’ve got plenty of surprises in store…
to celebrate, here’s a new robot:
i don’t know if i have ever driven as much as i did this weekend. looking for an apartment isn’t the most exciting thing in theworld, and it actually brought up some sad feelings for me. the payoff was visiting so many friends (in basically all areas of LA) and having such a good time with everyone. it reminded me that i am moving to people, not a place. the smog was bad, the traffic was bad, the apartments were bad – but the friends were awesome.
saturday night’s gallery show at nucleus was alot of fun. the place was so packed it was hard to move around sometimes – everyone was so interested in all the artwork from the flight crew. again, amazing – and incredibly friendly – people. if you’re at all interested, pick up flight volume two. i got my copy at the show and i can’t wait to dive into it – its huge!
i just finished ‘the catcher in the rye’ again. i love holden:
"That’s the whole trouble. You can’t ever find a place that’s nice and peaceful, because there isn’t any. You may think there is, but once you get there, when you’re not looking, somebody’ll sneak up and write ‘Fuck you’ right under your nose. Try it sometime."
ain’t that the truth!
